Free preschool education is offered for all under school-aged children. Preschool starts one year before basic education at the age of six, lasting one school year.
Toholampi preschool education is usually organized at Herman Ojala school in the municipality’s center. Children may also attend preschool in one of the surrounding villages, depending on the number of preschool-aged children present.
All materials used in preschool, including books, are free. Preschoolers get one free warm meal a day.
