Health services at Toholampi municipality are managed by Soite – the Central Ostrobothnia association of municipal social and health services (Keski-Pohjanmaan sosiaali- ja terveyspalvelukuntayhtymä Soite).
Health center
Doctors and nurses see patients at Toholampi health center to prevent, diagnose, cure and monitor health issues. You can receive health-related advice, be evaluated for need of care and book appointments with doctors and nurses between 8:00 – 16:00, Monday to Friday.
Making an appointment
When you call the health center, a nurse will evaluate your situation and guide you to a doctor if needed. In non-urgent cases you can book an appointment for a nurse or doctor.
We ask you to bring all prescriptions and other health-related documents with you. If you were previously treated outside of Finland’s healthcare system, it is especially important to have all the necessary information regarding your medical history with you at your first appointment.
If you need to see a doctor in Finland and your employer has an occupational healthcare agreement with a private provider, please contact your employer’s healthcare provider directly.

Cancel your appointment if you cannot come
You can cancel appointments by calling the appointment booking number during opening hours or by sending a text message at any time of the day to 040 804 2090. Add your name and the appointment time you wish to cancel to the message. The number for text messaging cannot receive phone calls.

Emergency services
Health centers are closed in the evenings and on weekends. During that time, sudden illnesses and accidents will be treated at emergency services. Emergency services are meant for patients whose illness requires urgent evaluation and treatment. In the Toholampi region, the emergency services are provided by Central Ostrobothnia Central Hospital in Kokkola.
